The Open Menorca ATP Challenger 100 now has its full line-up. On Monday, the six remaining spots in the main draw were decided with the completion of the rescheduled first-round matches—originally postponed due to strong winds—and the final round of qualifying.

Club Tenis Ciutadella hosted a marathon day of tennis, with twelve matches played across three courts, all marked by strong performances and fierce competition.

The day brought the qualifying stage of this ATP Challenger 100 event to a close.

•Kimmer Coppejans (BEL) [3]

Centre Court: surprises and commanding performances

On the tournament’s main court, Kilian Feldbausch delivered a surprise result by winning the first set 4-6 against Bernabé Zapata Miralles, who, struggling physically and visibly frustrated, retired early in the second set.

Kimmer Coppejans showed his dominance with a double 6-0 win over young Spaniard Izan Corretja, and later confirmed his qualification by defeating Ryan Nijboer 7-5, 6-1.

Spaniard Daniel Mérida staged one of the best comebacks of the day. After losing the opening set 0-6 to Austrian Neil Oberleitner, he fought back to take the next two sets 6-3, 6-3.

Feldbausch returned to the court to secure his place with a hard-fought win over Norbert Gombos, who was forced to retire during the third set (4-6, 6-4, 5-2).

Court 2: Piros and Alcalá Gurri advance with confidence

On the San Miguel Court, Miguel Damas got the better of Ramkumar Ramanathan (3-6, 4-6), but couldn’t get past top seed Zsombor Piros, who beat him 6-3, 6-1. Earlier in the day, Piros had also come through a tough three-set battle against Alex Molcan.

Max Alcalá Gurri also secured his place in the main draw after overcoming Germany’s Marko Topo 5-7, 2-6, taking control after an evenly contested start.

Court 3: Campana Lee shines; Gombos and Nijboer bow out

On the Joma Court, South Korea’s Gerard Campana Lee continued his impressive form, defeating Alberto Barroso Campos 6-2, 6-3, and completing his qualifying campaign without dropping a set.

Earlier, Norbert Gombos had come through a demanding three-set match against Pablo Masjuan Ginel, but had to withdraw from his second match later in the day due to physical issues.

Meanwhile, Ryan Nijboer, who had beaten Daniel Cukierman in the morning session (0-6, 6-7), fell short in his second match against Coppejans.

Main draw now underway

Monday’s qualifying matches have now shaped the final line-up of the Open Menorca ATP Challenger 100, which will continue through to Sunday 6 April. With players from a wide range of countries and a consistently high standard of play, the tournament continues to strengthen its presence on the ATP calendar, bringing world-class tennis to the exceptional setting of Ciutadella.
