Martín Tiffon and Gaubas to face off in the Open Menorca ATP Challenger 100 final

The Spaniard reaches his first ATP Challenger final after an epic battle against Neumayer. In doubles, Hassan and Ofner capture the title.
Saturday’s action at Club Tenis Ciutadella delivered a thrilling mix of singles semi-finals and the doubles final at the Open Menorca ATP Challenger 100. Spain’s Pol Martín Tiffon and Lithuania’s Vilius Gaubas battled their way into Sunday’s final. Later in the day, Benjamin Hassan and Sebastian Ofner sealed the doubles title by overcoming the Vavassori brothers.
The penultimate day of competition at the Open Menorca ATP Challenger 100 turned into a true test of endurance, with high-level tennis, emotion and drama taking centre stage at Club Tenis Ciutadella.
First semi-final: Gaubas withstands Buse’s challenge
Play got underway at 11:00 a.m. with the clash between Ignacio Buse (PER, ATP 215) and the only remaining seeded player in the singles main draw, Vilius Gaubas (LTU, ATP 198). The opener was decided by a costly error from the Peruvian in the tenth game (4-6), but Buse hit back with composure in the second set, breaking early and holding firm to level things up at 6-4.
In the decider, both players stayed level early on, but Buse began struggling physically and required a medical timeout for pain in his right shoulder blade. Gaubas seized the moment and broke in the tenth game to close out the match 4-6, 6-4, 4-6 and book his place in the final.

Second semi-final: Martín Tiffon digs deep to prevail
The afternoon match featured Pol Martín Tiffon (ESP, ATP 240) against Lukas Neumayer (AUT, ATP 208) in a gripping encounter full of momentum shifts.
The Spaniard came out strong, taking the first set 6-3, but double faults proved costly in the second as Neumayer upped his game to level the match 4-6.
The third set saw Martín Tiffon battling visible discomfort — cramping in his left leg and back pain — yet he broke early and held his serve with determination. Despite needing repeated physio assistance, the Barcelona native held on and clinched the decider 6-3, sealing a place in his first ever ATP Challenger final with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 win. Questions remain over how fit he will be for tomorrow’s title match.

Doubles final: Hassan and Ofner crowned in Ciutadella
As evening fell, spectators were treated to a gripping doubles final featuring the Italian duo of Andrea and Matteo Vavassori against the international pairing of Benjamin Hassan (LBN) / Sebastian Ofner (AUT).
After a strong start from the Italians and a brief injury scare for Hassan, the eventual champions rallied to take the opening set 5-7 and kept the momentum going in the second, closing it out 3-6. Hassan and Ofner lifted the trophy as the first-ever doubles champions at the Open Menorca ATP Challenger 100.
