Diario AS and Cadena SER will strengthen the national coverage of the tournament organised by BioSport Menorca through editorial initiatives, on-site presence and audience activations

The II Open Menorca ATP Challenger 100, which will take place from 29 March to 5 April 2026 at Club Tenis Ciutadella, will feature PRISA Media as official media partner through Diario AS and Cadena SER, following an agreement with BioSport Menorca, the company promoting and organising the tournament. The partnership will enhance the event’s visibility within Spain’s media landscape while activating editorial and social initiatives linked to the tournament.

The Open Menorca ATP Challenger 100 continues to strengthen its position within the ATP Challenger Tour international calendar with the addition of PRISA Media as media partner for its second edition.

The agreement will expand the tournament’s reach through editorial coverage in Diario AS and Cadena SER, both across their traditional platforms and their digital channels and social media. This media presence will help bring the event to both sports-focused and general audiences, further consolidating its presence within Spain’s professional tennis landscape.

As part of the collaboration, the group will operate its own stand at Club Tenis Ciutadella, from where interviews will be conducted and content produced throughout the tournament. Journalists from AS and SER will travel to the event to provide on-site coverage and generate editorial and digital content directly from the venue.

From an industry perspective, the partnership represents a further step in the growth strategy of the Open Menorca, positioning the tournament as a sporting asset capable of attracting media attention while delivering value for sponsors and the host territory.

Audience engagement and social dimension

The agreement also includes several audience-focused initiatives. Among them is the raffle of four VIP experiences, organised through Diario AS and Cadena SER, aimed at bringing fans closer to the tournament and strengthening its community.

In addition, the hospitality box included in the agreement will help promote the initiative “AS Deporte en Positivo”, with part of the space allocated to associations in Menorca working with people with disabilities. Through this initiative, the tournament integrates a social and inclusive dimension that broadens its impact within the local community.

For Aloysio Araújo, Director of Sports at PRISA Media, the agreement highlights the role of sport as a driver of economic and regional development:

“The Open Menorca ATP Challenger 100 shows how professional sport can energise territories, generate economic activity and project a local brand internationally. At PRISA Media we support initiatives that combine sporting excellence with business and social vision.”

Meanwhile, Toni Capó, Managing Director of BioSport Menorca, emphasised the strategic value of the partnership:

“Bringing PRISA Media on board as media partner strengthens the tournament’s structure and expands its media reach. This collaboration allows us to continue developing the Open Menorca as a sustainable sporting project with strong growth potential and social commitment.”

The addition of PRISA Media forms part of the growth roadmap of the Open Menorca ATP Challenger 100, which in its second edition aims to establish itself as a stable event on the ATP Challenger Tour calendar and as a sporting platform capable of generating economic, media and reputational value for Menorca.

Through this partnership, the tournament continues to expand its network of strategic partners while reinforcing its model as a professional sporting event with both national and international projection.
